Euro-Silo, with it's two terminals unites two of the most refined and high-tech loading and unloading installations for the storage of grain, oilseeds and derivatives in the heart of Europe.
Several sea-going vessels can be handled at the same time due to the 1.200 mtr. quay length. The joint unloading capacity of both sites on the basis of heavy grains is 40.000 mt/day from 06.00 till 22.00 h. On request, this can be increased with 30% by running nightshifts.
The overall capacity for storing and handling grain and derivatives is 650.000 mt.
- 300.000 mt. capacity in vertical bins for free flowing grains and oilseeds.
- 350.000 mt. capacity is in flatstores which are more appropriate for derivatives.
Euro-Silo Sifferdok, is equipped with 2 mobile siwertells.
Euro-Silo Rodenhuizedok is equipped with 1 mobile crane. Both systems allow discharge rates up to 1.500 mt/hr. and can handle both derivatives or delicate grains at the highest quality standards. A huge conveyor network takes the commodity from the ship to the selected storage bins.
All operations are managed and checked carefully from the central control rooms. During storage, the condition of the goods is monitored. Extra services such as cooling, screening, sieving, fumigation can be carried out at customer’s demand.
The loading of sea-going vessels, coasters, barges and railwaycars is carried out by mobile loading towers with a joint capacity of 2.400 mt/hr.
In order to meet the demands of numerous trucks, Euro-Silo has seriously invested in truckloading stations up to 8.000 mt/day.
